CREATIVE COUP D’ETAT AT PUSHKIN HOUSE: AN EVENING OF RUSSIAN INTERACTIVE THEATRE AND PERFORMANCE ART

For one night only, inspired by Russian literature and the legacy left to us by Alexander Pushkin, photographers, architects, writers, fashion designers, artists, TV producers, multi-media designers, actors and others will be taking part in an Open Coup de Litérature at Pushkin House, an evening of interactive theatre with multidisciplinary performances.

At the entrance you will be met by “yarn explosion” installation brought to you by Lana Siberie, a cutting edge knitwear brand.

You then will be snowed down just like in Metel by a young and hip Misha Valenki that have made it their goal to interpret Russian tradition passed down from generation to generation and share the country’s most loved boot and best kept footwear secret.

The top floor will screen “Objects of Fantasy” by Veronica Peat. Her work re-imagines theFabergé collection of Easter Eggs and objéts d'art of Luton Hoo. The story tells that Lady Zia Wernher, who lived at the Luton Hoo estate, was the great-great- granddaughter of Pushkin on her maternal line.

You will be a witness to an experimental performance by virtuoso Sholpan Sharbakova accompanied by Mascha Zherebtsova’s recitals.

And that is not it! We will amaze you with words of light appearing in the air, an installation brought to you by Julia Flit Photographer together with EVJLondon.com and make you groove with Dj Mourrka tunes!

* To gain entry, bring with you a volume of Pushkin or be ready to quote Pushkin on the door (paid bar during performances)
