Richard Pare is an internationally renowned British photographer, who has been researching Russia architecture for the last twenty years.
His work is shown alongside the work of photographer Dmitry Konradt in the Abstraction/Constructivism exhibition at Pushkin House on show from 3 June. Richard will speak about the fate of the avant-garde in Russian architecture, and the predicaments of Russian constructivist architects after 1932

Moscow: New Landmarks and Urban Structure
Moscow is changing fast, with new buildings appearing and disappearing as fast as in series of time-lapse photographs. Dr Sergey Nikitin, professor of architectural history, activist and campaigner, shows us the contemporary fortunes of key architectural ensembles: Tverskaya, Pushkin Square, and the area surrounding the Kremlin, and describes his campaigns to regenerate Moscow and preserve its built heritage.
