To mark what would be the visionary film director Sergei Paradjanov’s 90th birthday next year, we are hosting a very special evening to commemorate his artistry. The evening will include:
- a photographic exhibition "Paradjanov through the lens of Yuri Mechitov";
- documentaries by Paradjanov's close friend Roman Balayan and Ukrainian film maker Roman Shyrman
Georgian food and wine will be served.

A NIGHT IN PARADJANOV'S MUSEUM
This elegiac short film was made by the famous director Roman Balaylan, a close friend of Paradjanov's. It was shot in the Paradjanov Museum in Yerevan. The film is dedicated to an extraordinary man and artist who had a passion for life and beauty.

Roman Shyrman is an Honoured Artist of Ukraine. His film tells about the life and work of Sergei Paradjanov, who was no less vibrant and extravagant in everyday life than in his films. His personal life was itself a piece of art. The film is a tragicomic story about this great improviser and fantasist.

Layla Alexander–Garrett worked on Andrei Tarkovsky’s last film Sacrifice .
She is the author of the award-winning book , ‘Andrei Tarkovsky: The Collector of Dreams’ and a photo album, ‘Andrei Tarkovsky: A Photographic Chronicle of the Making of the Sacrifice ’.
