Two talented and internationally famous musicians, the Russian-Italian lyric soprano Olga Adamovich-Basile the Italian pianist Roberta Terchi Nocentini perform a programme of excerpts from Russian opera, including arias by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov, Rimsky-Korsakov, Taneev and Cui.
Olga studied in Saint Petersburg at the “Rimsky-Korsakov” Conservatory. At the same time she graduated at the “G.B. Martini” Conservatory of Bologna. She made her debut at the Opera House of Saint Petersburg as Zemfira in Aleko by S.Rachmaninoff, than she performed Mimi, Micaela and Contessa from “Marriage of Figaro” . Having participated to several national and international contests, in 2004 she won a grant for artistic achievement from Mirella Freni. Her career includes also the role of Suor Angelica, Donna Anna, Anna Glavari, Santuzza, Cio Cio San, Abigail, Tosca. She was Madame Lardoux at the world premiere of the Maschera di Punkitititi by M.Taralli and e Q. Conti, under the baton of V. Parisi at the Rome Opera House. Between 2008 and 2012 she was on several concert tour in New York, Tokyo, Buenos Aires and Sang for the Theatre of the Rome Opera House and she was awarded a silver medal by the city of Rome for her contribution to cultural development. In 2012 with a Venice Virtuose orchestra under the baton of A. Scarano she sing a Requiem of G. Verdi in Bologna and Mantova. In January of 2013 she made her debut as Violetta in Traviata of G. Verdi in Mantova.
Roberta Terchi Nocentini
At the age of eleven joined the piano class of the Conservatory "A. Casella" in L’Aquila (Italy), graduating in 2001.
In 2007, she got post-graduate degree cum Laude in Music Performance and Composition, piano accompaniment and repetiteur.
In 2005, she got Letters Degree, Faculty of Letters and Philosophy in L'Aquila.
In 2010, she worked as repetiteur at “A. Casella” Conservatory, with the singing teacher Carla Centi Pizzutilli. She also worked as pianist accompanist in master classes (with the singer Giuseppe Sabbatini in 2007, with the horn player Luca di Francesco, the trumpeters Sandro Verzari and Giuseppe Orsini).
In 2012, she got the admission to the hearing for Junior Fellow Audition at the Royal Northern College of Manchester.
Performed several concerts like pianist accompanist (England, France, Romania, Italy).
Attended several master classes for repetieur, pianist accompanist and basso continuo (Marco Boemi, Jeff Robert Kettelsonn).
They will perform arias by Russian opera's composers, letting the public go through the musical culture of Russia, showing listeners its colours prosperity and its deep passionate nature.Verzari) are today forming a duo of excellence.
During this collaboration with Pushkin's House, they will give the public a programme of high quality
The programme will carry the listeners from the love story between Francesca from Rimini and her Paolo by Rachmaninov to operas about historical subjects by Taneev and Kiui (rarely performed), to finish with operas fables by Rimsky Korsakov and with tragic operas by Tchaikovsky on original verses from Pushkin's poems.
