With only two main grape varieties, hundreds of different styles with prices ranging from £5 to £5000 and more per bottle, with mindboggling classifications, the region captures the imagination of the entire world which admits that it struggles to grasp its essence. And we are prepared to pay more in order to understand it, but is it worth it?
