Can I bring my own caterers?


We allow external catering at a fee of £75 + VAT

Does your venue have a lift?


No, we don't have a lift.

Do you have a disabled access?


We have a ramp which will allow a wheelchair user access the main hall and our Library room. However, the toilets are located on a separate floor. As a Grade II star listed building we are very limited to what we can install in our space but we are currently looking at the ways we could make it happen in order to accomodate as many people as we can.

Will my event be published on your website and social media?

Private hire events are not published on our website or social media. If you want to propose an event as part of our programme please fill in this form. If you are renting a room from us on a private hire basis but the event you’re hosting has links to Russia, we may be able to offer you a 50% discount on a newsletter slot under, subject to approval.

Does your Music Room have a projector and a screen?


We don't have a projector in our Music room but we can lend you a 50 inch TV free of charge. The TV can be connected to a laptop or a mac via HDMI or VGA cable.

What are your opening hours?

Due to our exhibition opening hours the rooms in Pushkin House can usually be hired on the following days only:

Gallery Room

Mon - Fri from 9.00am - 9.00pm

Sat from 2.00pm - 7.00pm

Sun from 1pm - 6.00pm

Meeting Room

(until May 2019) Mon - Fri from 9.00am - 6.00pm

(from May 2019) Mon and Tue 9.00am - 6.00pm

Music Room & Library Room:

Mon, Tue and Wed from 9.00am - 9.00pm

Thu and Fri from 5.00pm - 9.00pm

Sat - not available

Sun from 1.00pm - 6.00pm

*late evening hire during week days (until 11.00pm) is available at an extra fee









Can I have access to the room prior to my booking slot to set up?

The access to rooms is from the start time of the session hired only. If you require time to set-up or prepare please factor this into the start time of your meetings.

At the Pushkin House discretion, and dependent on other bookings, an additional hour either side of a session can be booked at reduced terms. Please note that all equipment must be removed from the premises by the end of each hire session.

Can I leave something behind after my event? 


If the items are collected the following morning, it is fine to leave them behind if agreed in advance with the Operations Manager.

Can I get things delivered to your venue prior to my booking slot?


You may be able to get items delivered either that same day, if your event is in the evening, or the evening before if your event is in the morning. Please speak to our staff to find out if this is possible.

Are you open during bank holidays?


No, we are not open during bank holidays.

Can I show an art exhibition at your venue?


We don’t allow pop-up exhibitions in rooms where our own exhibition is on show. If you would like to propose an exhibition as part of our programme (has to have strong cultural links to Russia) please email us your proposal with photos and biographies of the artists to office@pushkinhouse.org.uk and it will be reviewed by our curator. Most of our exhibitions last up to 3 months. You can see all of our past exhibitions here.

Is there an extra charge for using the piano?


If you are renting our Music and Function room you are very welcome to invite a pianist. The only thing we ask is for guests not to put their glasses on top of the piano. If you would like the piano to be tuned specifically for your event (please note, we do tune our piano regularly), an additional charge of £100 + VAT will apply.

Can I remove art from walls?


It is crucial that none of the artworks are removed. We advise all of our clients to view the space before committing to rent as exhibitions change on a regular basis and what you see on photos may not be what is on display at the time of your booking.

Can you arrange waiting staff for our event


Our late evening slot (5pm - 11pm) comes with 1 member of staff/helper. There is also always someone on reception who can help with any technical difficulties and questions. If you need additional waiters we can arrange staff at 15+VAT p/h, minimum of 3 hours.
