Second International Medtner Festival: Opening Concert Sunday, 26 November, 2017 at 5pm  ***BOOK TICKETS***

 As part of the Second International Medtner Festival Pushkin House gathers together Medtner-enthusiasts from around the globe. Pianists and singers from Japan, Germany, Russia and UK present a unique programme featuring Medtner’s Sonata Tragica, his songs and a UK premiere of a trio arrangement of one of his Tales. This concert is preceded by a talk and masterclass with a renowned Medtner expert Iain Burnside.

Pushkin house is proud to present a programme of rarely performed Soviet music. Pietro Bonfilio a winner of numerous international piano competitions and has toured extensively in Europe and Asia. He specialises in the music of Dmitri Kabalevsky, whose Third Sonata and Preludes he has recently recorded for the Piano Classics label. 




Piano Recital by Multiple Competitions Winner Luka Okros, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 7pm ***BOOK TICKETS***

 Pushkin House presents outstanding Georgian pianist Luka Okros in a recital. Luka is a top winner of ten international competitions among them Almaty International Piano Competition, Valencia International Piano Competition, Hong Kong International Piano Competition and Hannover Chopin International Piano Competition. In this rare London appearance Luka will be playing Schubert’s magnificent 4 Impromptus as well as music by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev.
