Arms and Wings | an exhibition of works by Oleg Tyrkin
Exhibition open from 4 until 26 March 2010 15:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday. Oleg Tyrkin was born in 1965 in Vladimir, Central Russia. In 1987 – Graduated from the Aviation Institute, with a Diploma of a military helicopter pilot. He explores the borderline state in between art as a form of spiritual quest, and material existence.

Best known to Western audiences for playing the iconic title role in Tarkovsky’s Stalker (1979), Alexander Kaidanovsky was also a filmmaker with a unique vision and style. His documentary film about Sergei Paradjanov, “Maestro” (1991/1993), was commissioned by the International Centre of Cinema in Riga, Latvia, and it has never been screened in Russia. Kaidanovsky’s film will be screened in the UK for the first time.
