Muse Exclusive: Shadow Memory guided walk

12th December 2018, 6pm, leaving from Pushkin House

Join Director and Principal Curator of GRAD, Elena Sudakova, for a Muse of Pushkin House exclusive guided walk through the new cutting edge interactive art project Shadow Memory.

Allow Shadow Memory to lead you onto a network of paths, invisible to the naked eye, that weave along the Southbank of the Thames. This new digital project invites you to head into the urban unknown with a diverse collection of immersive, interactive narratives routes. Each narrative is as unusual as its maker; individual artists and art collectives from London, Geneva, Krasnodar, Moscow, Minsk, Tel Aviv and Kyiv. No two narratives are ever the same; with one you will experience a game, another a story, another a co-created performance. The route encompasses the area surrounding Southbank Centre, Battersea Power Station, Vauxhall and Nine Elms.

The lens through which this ‘imaginative distortion’ takes place is highly influenced by cinematic elements, with film being the largest artistic influence on the mass population. My practice consciously retains a mass entertainment aesthetic in that it is frequently large-scale, accessible and descriptive, often contains narrative and is generally unpretentious in its subject matter.
