An Evening of Favourite Russian Poems

Language: in Russian

Come and enjoy a kaleidoscope of Russian poetry, from Pushkin and Nekrasov, through the Silver Age and the war poets, to Yevtushenko and Vysotsky, with Tatiana Schofield and Elena Dobson. Profits from the event will be split between the Gracious Heart Foundation (Добросердие), which supports children with cerebral palsy, and Save the Children .

A perfect opportunity for lovers of Russian poetry to hear old favourites and enjoy the magic of words. Could Churchill have had Russian poetry in mind when he referred to Russia as 'A riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma'?
