About the speakers :

Andrew Jack (Chair) is a correspondent for the Financial Times, author of Inside Putin's Russia and Co-Chair of Pushkin House.

Maria Lipman is editor-in-chief of the Russian journal Pro et Contra and chairs the Society [&] Regions Program of the Carnegie Moscow Center.

Boris Makarenko teaches political science at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and is chairman of the board of the Center for Political Technologies.

Nikolay Petrov teaches regional politics at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow and chaired the Russian Regional Monitoring Program at the Carnegie Moscow Center until 2013.

Kirill Rogov is a senior research fellow at the Yegor T. Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy in Moscow.

Natalia Zubarevich is a professor of economic geography at the Moscow State University and director of the regional program of the Independent Institute for Social Policy.
