With more than 40 groups and over 150 individual and corporate students, RLC runs more Russian courses than any other language school in the country.

Based at the hub of Russian-related events in the capital, Pushkin House, and with a wealth of resources at their fingertips, our native speaker, highly qualified teachers are ideally placed to kindle or re-ignite a love of the Russian language.

We run courses for all different levels, from absolute beginners to graduate advanced and everything in-between, with a variety of different timetabling options: evening, daytime and weekend courses, ‘fast-track’ twice-a-week intensive options, pay-as-you-go advanced conversation classes, and even a new group aimed specifically at speakers of other Slavonic languages who can expect more rapid progress in the language.

Beginner to intermediate level students can enjoy studying using our own course materials, developed specifically for the adult learner, while more advanced students can take advantage of the plethora of higher-level textbooks we have accumulated, many of them usually only available in Russia.
We are the only UK institution offering the Russian State Tests of Russian as a Foreign Language (ТРКИ) to external as well as internal candidates. The next exams will be held at Pushkin House over the 6th -9th July 2015, and will be preceded by a range of preparation classes and mock exams in June 2015.

Our next term of group classes starts the week of the 6th of October and runs for ten weeks. If you can’t wait until then we are also running an Intensive Introduction to Russian from the 1st-18th September – email or call 020 7831 5330 for further details.

Potential students are invited to drop in on Wednesday 24th September at 6.30-8.30pm to meet some of the staff and teachers, have a look at our course materials, and beginners can even try a short ‘taster’ class. Please let us know that you are planning to come so that we can cater for everyone – drop us an email at with your name and whether you are a beginner or a non-beginner

Alternatively, if you don’t have time to drop in, booking forms can be downloaded from, or email or call 020 7831 5330 for further information. Beginners can sign up right away; non-beginners will be invited to a level assessment in September.
