This intensive weekend introduction to Russian is ideal for those who want a taste of the language before deciding whether to study further – or for anyone who is travelling to Russia and knows how far a little of the language can go.
You'll learn how to read the Cyrillic alphabet, simple greetings and phrases, some cultural ‘dos and taboos’, as well as the basics of how Russian works. After two days you may not be reading Tolstoy in the original, but you’ll certainly be able to pull the right book down off the shelf.
With more than 50 groups and over 150 individual and corporate students, RLC runs more Russian courses than any other language school in the country.
Based at the hub of Russian-related events in the capital, Pushkin House, and with a wealth of resources at their fingertips, our native speaker, highly qualified teachers are ideally placed to kindle or re-ignite a love of the Russian language.
We run courses for all different levels, from absolute beginners to graduate advanced and everything in-between, with a variety of different timetabling options: evening, daytime and weekend courses, ‘fast-track’ twice-a-week intensive options. Beginner to intermediate level students can enjoy studying using our own course materials, developed specifically for the adult learner, while more advanced students can take advantage of the plethora of higher-level textbooks we have accumulated, many of them usually only available in Russia.
