Frame is an interdisciplinary programme focusing on contemporaneity, art, and the life of institutions

The programme explores the structural conditions, histories, and blind spots that predetermine cultural organisations. Through workshops, seminars, films and artistic interventions, we confront the "curse of greatness," seeking to undo mythologised pasts in favour of a pluralistic, multi-narrative contemporaneity to propose new ways of working collectively. We ask questions such as: can institutions, as instigators for social change, still hold a space for complexity? What comprises an institution – is it the artist, the programme, or the community? How can we bridge the distance between public-facing representations and our internal realities? How do we allow for radical experiment while remaining self-sustainable? How can artists and creatives actively influence, challenge and contribute to institutional structures? We invite our audience and contributors to help us navigate these questions together.
