Description

In Between Knots. Issue 1 brings together a diverse range of voices and forms—poetry, prose, photography, and more—to explore the fluid, multifaceted concept of home.

Rather than attempting to define home, this anthology invites readers on a journey through themes of cultural identity and migration, intimacy and estrangement, nostalgia and resilience, and the ongoing search for belonging. Contributors find home in cultural rituals and traditions, in the liminal spaces between the familiar and the foreign, in personal relationships, and within themselves.

As these stories intertwine, the anthology becomes a knot that holds the vision of a world where the essence of home is fully realised for all.

About:

In Between Knots is a community platform and publication founded by Nastia Svarevska that explores the experience of living in-between places. Drawing on anthropologist Tim Ingold’s concept of places as knots—where our life paths intertwine—In Between Knots fosters connections both in person and in print, providing a space to weave our threads into stronger knots. Nastia Svarevska is a London-based curator, writer, and editor from Latvia.

This event is part of our YOUNG programme, which supports its members to realise their ideas at Pushkin House.
