On October 15, we invite you for a special event: a public recording of the literary podcast Закладка (Bookmark), hosted by Ekaterina Schulmann and Galina Yuzefovich. Закладка is a podcast by the ЭХО (Echo) project about books and their authors, where each conversation is dedicated to one writer or literary theme. The hosts talk about biographies, contexts and keyworks, share their views and offer recommendations for further reading. Their talks blend literary knowledge with lively discussion: Yuzefovich brings a critical and literary perspective, Schulmann adds a broad cultural and social context – together they make the texts comprehensible and engaging.
For this special London episode, Schulmann and Yuzefovich will discuss Былое и думы (My Past and Thoughts) by Alexander Herzen. This monumental autobiographical work, at once a personal memoir and a sweeping reflection on history, philosophy, and society, offers a rich field for conversation.
This is a unique opportunity to see and hear both presenters together, become part of a live recording, and watch how one of the most popular podcasts about books in Russian is created.
Doors open 10 minutes before the event begins, at 6:50pm.
